Elvis Presley married Priscilla Beaulieu on May 1, 1967 after having met her when he was in the army. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada and flew in Frank Sinatra’s private jet back to Palm Springs, California. According to Priscilla, their wedding night was “traditional” and romantic, as Elvis sang to her when he carried her over the thresh-hold. However, when she was six months pregnant, Elvis asked her for a separation, and she obliged. A few days later, Elvis changed his mind, and the two reconciled. Within two months,on February 1, 1968, their daughter, Lisa Marie, was born.
Throughout their marriage, Elvis had many notable affairs. The couple fought about this more than they fought about anything else. Most of the time Elvis would deny the accusations, but there came a time when Priscilla knew what he was doing behind her back. When Priscilla knew who the woman was, she’d sometimes do things like change her appearance, to look more like the woman Elvis was having the affair with. She’d do these things in hopes of pleasing her husband, and end his adulterous ways. It did not work. On October 9, 1973, Elvis and Priscilla’s divorce was final
